AFTER HOURS STARTED WITH A SIMPLE IDEA

After Hours Vending began with a simple moment of inspiration. While spending time at Lehigh University, Matt came across a vending concept and immediately saw its potential. He imagined a customized vending machine created specifically for nightlife venues—one that could offer the things guests often need during the hours of 8pm to 2am.

During the fall of 2025, Matt began turning that idea into a real business. He worked through the paperwork, licensing, planning, and research required to get started. In January 2026, he purchased the first After Hours Vending machine. After several more months of preparation, the first machine officially opened during the first days of June at The Funhouse in downtown Bethlehem. Soon afterward, After Hours Vending expanded to its second location at The Wooden Match.

Matt is originally from New Jersey, but his journey brought him to the Lehigh Valley when he moved to attend culinary school at Northampton Community College. He has spent more than six years working in restaurants and experiencing many different styles of kitchens. Later, an opportunity to work with a private-chef service helped him recognize his full potential within the food and hospitality industry.

Coming from a family shaped by determination and new beginnings has always influenced Matt’s outlook. His maternal grandparents immigrated from Cuba, while his father and that side of his family are from Puerto Rico. Matt has always wanted to represent his family well and build something they can be proud of. He has continuously searched for meaningful opportunities and has never been afraid to take a chance when one presents itself.

Northampton Community College was also where Matt met his girlfriend, Daniela, in 2022. Originally from Valparaíso, Chile, Daniela came to the United States in September 2021 and has lived in Bethlehem ever since. She earned her Associate of Science in Mathematics from Northampton Community College before transferring to Lehigh University, where she earned her Bachelor of Science in Astrophysics. She now plans to return to NCC to pursue a Specialized Diploma in Baking, bringing together her analytical background and her growing passion for the culinary arts.

Since meeting in 2022, Matt and Daniela have shared new experiences, traveled together, and supported each other’s goals. They hope to continue exploring new places while growing After Hours Vending throughout the Lehigh Valley and beyond.

For them, After Hours Vending represents more than a machine. It is the result of hospitality experience, family influence, persistence, and the willingness to act when a new opportunity appears. What began as an idea discovered on Instagram is now becoming a growing local business built to help venues serve their guests long after the night begins.

Company values

After Hours Vending was built with a hospitality-first mindset. Every machine, product selection, and venue partnership is guided by the goal of providing dependable convenience while improving the guest experience.

Hospitality Comes First

Our background in restaurants and hospitality shapes how we operate. We think beyond the machine and focus on what guests may need to stay comfortable, connected, and prepared throughout the night.

Customized for Every Venue

No two venues are exactly alike, and their vending options should not be either. We work with each partner to create a product selection that reflects its customers, atmosphere, preferences, and operating requirements.

Convenience After Hours

Our machines provide useful products at the moment they are needed most—from emergency USB-C phone chargers and concert earplugs to disposable cameras and collectible products.

Reliability and Care

A vending machine should be clean, functional, stocked, and ready to serve. We are committed to maintaining our machines carefully, responding to our venue partners, and creating a dependable experience for every customer.

Responsible Placement

Tobacco and nicotine categories are only considered for eligible 21+ venues that request and approve them. Product placement remains subject to age-verification requirements, licensing, venue policies, and applicable law.

Local Partnerships

After Hours Vending began in Bethlehem, and we value the venues and communities that gave our business its start. We approach every placement as a partnership and want our growth to support the businesses that welcome us.

Growth with Purpose

We are excited to expand throughout the Lehigh Valley and beyond, but we believe growth should never come at the expense of quality, responsibility, or personal service. Every new location should receive the same attention and care as our first.
